Scientific Demands
Absolute prerequisite for a functionning ANS/HRV Analysis is the exact detection of the the RR-signal via chest leads or ECG. Also, the software has to be able to illustrate comprehensibly the complex mathematical algorithms, which are required for the calcuation. Especially for the short-term measurement, the consideration of the right HRV parameters is highly important as the frequency-based parameters as TP and VLF are physiologically ambiguous and not recommended by the Task Force for the short-term recordings.
The ANS Analysis is the result of ten-year basic research by one of the most renowned German HRV-experts. The ANS Analysis incorporates the normal values of the most important global reference studies. For the therapist and the patient, it features an unique, demonstrative and well understandable illustration representing the most relevant ANS parameters, not being limited to the heart rate variability.
Although the system fulfills highest scientific demands, expensive trainings for the interpretation of the measuring results are not necessary. The raw signal can also be processed further in the most important reference software for studies and research (Kubios).
A precise and automatic correction function makes a complicated and manual correction of artifacts or extrasystoles needless. A decisive difference to other products is also the consideration of the so called non-linear parameters. It has been shown that the complexity of the regulatory circuits of the autonomic nervous system can only be determined incompletely with the previous parameters. For this reason, you need further parameters for a precise ANS Analysis. These parameters do not only consider the time sequence and quantity but also the signal quality. With complex mathematical algorithms, the interaction of the individual autonomic regulatory circuits can be determined (Alpha 1).
Another advantage is the simple integration of the measurement into the practice software and the immediate forwarding of the results to the patient via the integrated email function. In addition, measuring results can be sent directly to the support in case of questions. The integrated respiratory therapie with different respiratory rhythms offers the therapist the possibility for a quick and uncomplicated therapy of the autonomic imbalance. The special guided respiration stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and uncovers existing rescources in the patient's body fast and simple.
The ANS Analysis combines the values of a scientific analytical instrument with the user-friendly, pratice-oriented and easy-to-interpret illustration of a modern tablet computer. It is easy to integrate into the daily practice and offers the best possible benefits for therapist and patient.
